What businesses are included in The Neiman Marcus Group?
The Neiman Marcus Group is comprised of the Specialty Retail Stores segment - which includes Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Last Call and CUSP stores - and the Online segment. The Company operates 42 Neiman Marcus Stores across the United States and two Bergdorf Goodman stores in Manhattan. The Company also operates twenty seven Last Call Outlets, thirteen Last Call Studios and one Horchow Finale as well as four CUSP stores.  These store operations total more than 6.9 million gross square feet. The Company's Online segment conducts direct to consumer operations under the Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Last Call, Horchow, CUSP and mytheresa brand names.

When was The Neiman Marcus Group founded?
The Company was formed in 1987 in connection with the restructuring of Carter Hawley Hale Stores, Inc. At that time, the Company acquired the specialty store divisions of Carter Hawley Hale, which included the operations of Neiman Marcus Stores, Bergdorf Goodman and NM Direct. As part of the Carter Hawley Hale restructuring in 1987, Harcourt General obtained a significant equity ownership in the Company. Subsequently, the Company was spun off by Harcourt General to its shareholders in October 1999. In October 2005, the Company was acquired by an investor group led by Texas Pacific Group and Warburg Pincus LLC. In October 2013, the Company was acquired by Ares Management and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
